Zilch
Named after the sound it makes, this experiment came from the old trick of hanging and burning twisted plastic bags so that they drip fiery melted fragments.
Plasma Arc
This was another fun experiment with the light2sound synth. This time capturing a plasma arc modulating while interacting with a piece of wood.

Stumbled across this technique during an exploration session with a record player. Ended up turning it into a versatile wind sound generator.
Jacuzzi Hydrophone
Stereo hydrophone hanging in jacuzzi jets. Basically fishing for sound. Resulted in some great liquid movement that sounded almost like distant jet engines.

Cats are fickle creatures, so it’s great to have a technique for getting meows on demand. Works for most cats. Using an iOS app called BeBot.

Alka Seltzer between two contact mics is a great start for some air distortion sounds.
